– AUTHOR INFORMATION –

Renkino began publishing Monster Eater on the online platform Shosetsuka ni Naro in March 2023, where it attracted attention for its unusual mix of fantasy and gourmet survival themes. The story was later picked up by Earth Star Entertainment, which published two light novel volumes between august 2023 and January 2024. His work stood out because he chose to focus on a protagonist with no combat skills, forcing the character to survive by eating monster meat a shocking but creative twist that made the series unique. This bold idea helped the story go viral and led to further adaptions. By 2024, Monster Eater had both a webtoon version (illustrated by Kei Ichimatsu and Tanako Tanao) and a manga adaption (drawn by TATE for Square Enix). In April 2026, the series even received an anime adaptation, proving Renkino’s success in crossing multiple media formats.
