Gege Akutami was born on February 26, 1992 in lwate Prefecture, Japan. As a child, Akutami loved drawing and was inspired by famous manga like Bleach, Hunter × Hunter, and Neon Genesis Evangelion. These influences shaped their style and imagination. In 2014, Akutami worked as an assistant to another manga artist, Yasuhiro Kano, and published their first short story called Kamishiro Sosa.

Despite this success, Akutami is known for being very private. They rarely appear in public and prefer to let their work speak for itself. Fans admire Akutami’s ability to create complex characters, exciting battles, and emotional stories that connect with readers worldwide.
